Sadly Missed

Many fine and not so fine dining indulgences have graced this street. Here are those I visited that are no more, many of which are sadly missed.

Mickey's
(was) @ 232 King Street

Oh Mickey's, how I miss you so. Remembered for its vast array of delicious looking cakes, many of which were gluten free, I was truly floored when you closed down. There was no reason for it. Sure, you sold cafe food but acted like a restaurant but your customers were aplenty and your cakes addictive. I will always remember you. Mickey's was replaced by Wine & Dine which lasted a couple of months and received even fewer customers. It is now Moo Burgers.

Giraffe Wrap Bar
(was) @ 124 King Street

Walking into the wrap bar, the first thing I noticed was that there was no staff in it. That was until my sister pointed out that at the very front there was a sign that said something to the affect of "for service, talk to the bald man." He was sitting just at the front and turned his head and slowly walked up to us after it seemed we had decided on what we were going to have. The wraps were crisp and felt healthy, there wasn't much variety though and the customers were few. It only lasted around a year. Today is it Mad Greek.
